BTW this is a green T5R wagon that is way rare. Robert DYI refers to it as an unicorn.
Are you refering to dark green? This is said to be the last run of T5Rs. They had 500 of them made. They are a quite common in Europe. Maybe you didn't receive alot of them, but here, they are not that rare. I've seen way more green T5Rs in my life than unicorns...

I’ll confess 30 vs 200 is on the edge for me on this one. I think you can get FEBI rather than the brands you now are crappy at the low price, and 5 hours of my time is worth about $100 in my price book.

Last thing to consider. Are your driven roads good shape, smooth , highways? Yes would give a nod to trying aftermarket. I’m at 110k on my OEM and they are still tight.

A quick tip for making the old Delta Link bushings easier to remove.

I just did all of the DL bushings in the wife's 855 a coupe months back.

Run a drill bit along the top of the old bushing to break apart the (plastic) sleeve. (It was 5/16-ish, I think). Then it comes out with minimal fuss. Even having the removal/installer tool they tend to fight on removal.

Image

I used dish soap as my lubricant (much better than any of the greases I've used), and tapped a bit on each side of the bushing, as I would tighten up the installer a bit, to help it drive in true, as even with the installer tool, it would shift a bit and bind.

Those earlier threads have 5-6 year reports on the PPS and Febi cheap delta links. Sorry to be an OEM parts nazi above, they are worth looking at. Maybe buy both and look at them side by side for rubber quality?

You can’t rely on a brand 5 years ago being th4 same , except for Volvo is always a safe bet.

I wish the roads were nice here, but mostly not.
I know it is on the edge, the febi's are the 33 but it's aftermarket chinese quality. Does that mean it's bad? I don't know.
I agree on the OEM too. But just trying to get a gauge on the aftermarket quality.

Ping xHeart and the guys up thread to look at their cheap ones 5 years later. I think that is the best you can do.

The price on the OEM ones has soared from about $100 to $200 by the way.

It's a hassle but not that bad to do and due to the way it fails, this is not a mission critical part. Most P80 cars are running on bad delta links, just like they were 5 years ago when there were many more on the road. I will try to post up a pic of mine.

I agree this one is not an easy call, good point to consider how you drive etc., and I tend to be an OEM Nazi too but based on my experience so far I would go with the cheapies again for this car.

Mine Febi brand last between 8 to 9 years. I just ordered Volvo brand and ready to replace the driver side, again.
