If the car does not run, when you switch the ignition on, do you get a whirring from the ETM? If it is compatible, then the ETM butterfly will rotate and position the flap to start condition. If there is no whirring or movement, then the seller lied and either the ETM is goosed, or it is not compatible.

Do you still have the original ETM? If you do, Xemodex can repair it and make sure the software is correct for your car. Not cheap. You will need to check their website for current pricing.

Neil.
The car actually runs beautifly, engine sounds good. It has the ETS light on still. I can hear the whining type sound and a click, i have to double check the ETM fuse, it's not blown but maybe not getting enough volts, maybe the main relay in the corner is bad, i am going to confirm all the mentioned above items this morning and report my findings this morning.

Need to scan it with Vida-DiCE, get the code and find out why the ETM light is lit.
Vida-DiCE will cost less than just throwing money at it and you will get a lot of benefits out of Vida.

Ok, here is what I have..... I have 12.13 volts at the battery with the car not running, when i use both the negative probe and the positive probe on my voltmeter and probe both sides of fuse #2 ( ETM/Pedal Fuse) while the key is on I get 10.2 volts, if i put the negative lead from my voltmeter to the negative side of the battery post and the positive lead on voltmeter to hot side of fuse #2 I am getting the same thing that I am at the battery, is this normal? Why am i showing 12 volts to the power side of fuse 2 when i ground meter to battery but only 10 volts when checking both sides of fuse 2 directly with both meter probes! I am confused!

How do I get in contact with this Doublebug, I purchased a xemodex from IPD and need to have it programmed, I would use my DiCE but Volvo has blocked use to VIDA for anyone with a cloned DiCE unit. I’m an amputee I can’t be without my car, I also don’t have the money to go pay the dealership for this sort of stuff, they quoted an outrageous price and there just no way.

Can anyone here help me clone this?

Doublebug or Yagger can do this for you by using your Dice and their software.

Yagger was last located in California.

Yagger and Doublbug's website.

You will need your DiCE, a Skype account and a internet connection when connected to the car.

How’s your battery? Battery voltage should be around 12.6v for a fully charged one.
