06 XC70 Exhaust manifold leak question

The external wire wrap is to reinforce the accordion flex tube. It does have some internal pressure to contain. heat transfer is likely better without the wire wrap because of better air flow. The wire wrap must not be very necessary for pressure, if the originals survive without the wire. The SC guy may have used heavier gauge accordion.

I have to find time to get back to the dealer. The foreman took a bunch of photos of the muffler system, but I need to understand what they are trying to tell me.

The foreman himself looked the car over and several of the issues were issues already repaired as suspected and they had not updated their system. This has been corrected.

I will return to update where this goes once I get back in to talk to him.

Thanks for the inputs. And no, there are no obvious fumes in the car.
