Did you try spinning the turbo from the snorkel side gently while vacuuming??

Wear gloves, those vanes can be sharp.

Great idea. Going to get on it in a few minutes. I do NOT want to pull this turbo. I'll let you know how it goes.

Also try running the shop vacuum in blower mode and try blowing from the snorkel side

I’m just full of vacuous stuff this week.

No dice. All combinations of shop vac tricks exhausted and impeller manually rotated during suction, however, it was not needed. That little baby was spooling fast without touching it.

I have a Milwaukee 360° Specter and can see the little shinola-head inside. Not well, because the camera has a tight sheathing around it for three inches that can only barely make the bend from the outlet. It's there. Not moving or giving even one solitary FU about my shop vac gospel.

Thinking out loud by keyboard.

Will opening the turbo cartridge help access , without having to remove the exhaust bolts?

The turbo breaks apart into two housings and an internal cartridge.

Turbo Tony in LA has a few spare parts...

:D

Here’s Roberts video where he has removed the cartridge from the exhaust side leaving that in the car

A engine moves a whole lot more air then a shop-vac. You might be able to use a flex hose attached to the tail pipe of another car to blow it out.
