Thanks for all the answers
I'm adding heater/coolant hoses, front crank seal and cam seals to the list. I'll inspect the power steering and replace if needed, as those are quite pricey.

I will most likely pull the engine up and out, I don't have enough room in my garage to drop the subframe :x

Once I get my shopping list done I'll put it here, if anyone plans on doing the same job.

Quick question while I'm at it: do an 850R and a 2.5 LPT V70 like mine have identical clutches ? Mine has been converted to single mass flywheel with parts from an 850R according to the seller

Just did this to do my clutch and flywheel a couple weeks ago. If you're replacing the AC compressor you should replace the accumulator/drier/receiver and since you'll have the system open you could pull your lines and flush them with a solvent (I rented a free kit from O'Riley's). While you're doing that you could put in a new expansion valve as well.

If you have an internal slave cylinder you could replace that as well. I also replaced my rear main seal, transmission input shaft seal, and both axle seals. Make sure to drain your transmission oil first, and have replacement fluid. If it were me I'd try to clean the drain first and catch the fluid in a clean container since the transmission takes 2.1 liters and it's annoying to buy 3 liters for that. FCP has a better price on Volvo manual transmission oil than the dealer.

The R clutch disc and cover are different from the base version. IIRC different diameter, definitely more grip

He’s in France. They do transportation really well over there.

I did a five year gig in Paris, and once I got a bunch of frantic from phone calls from my colleagues on Sunday night.

“We must warn you there is action planned in the RER B line ( the one I take to CDG airport)

The schedule will he delayed, and trains will come only every 20 minutes.”

Yes, you can use the 850R clutch with your car. I have one in my car and it's been great.

I replaced those a few weeks ago, but yeah would have been easier to do with the engine out, I was just bored and ready to suffer

My AC system has been open for an unknown amount of the time, there's a lot to replace

Mine is external slave cylinder but the threaded rod on it looks bent :? Doesn't look too expensive, might swap in a new one in

Transmission seals sounds like a good idea. Just remembered that I couldn't get the drain plug loose with the gearbox in the car (ended up using a syringe through the filler), another thing added to the list

Those ac parts are cheap, about 20 EUro, other than the compressor. Rein brand is fine
