Thank you. I called Robert (Robert DIY Spinner aka rspi) last night and told him about my DOH moment. He told me he did that on 4 cylinders just 2 days ago. It took him 10 minutes to find the issue. I actually did the plug, wire, and gap job about 1 1/2 weeks ago. It took me that long to figure out my DOH moment.

They will often idle ok, slightly rough, but then have no higher rev power. I think I got 2-3 plugs on a coil pack car switched after a timing belt job last year. No misfire codes but the same testing strategy caught it.

After having this plug wire swap problem on a couple of distributor type engines, I was much more careful to mark the distributor cap and wires with the cylinder number. Especially important on V8 engines with 8 wires.
