Slower than Grandpa! How to recover my performance?

Maybe the points are arced? Bad condenser?

Before you start throwing more parts at it, take some vital signs like compression. Smoke test the intake system.

Cylinders maybe getting carbonized. I posted many times on how to remove the carbon with a Seafoam soak.

How old are the Fuel Injectors and O2 sensors? The two can degrade performance without any other symptoms or DTCs. I would go after Injectors before O2 sensors.

It could be a clog in the exhaust system. When was the last time the resonator of muffler where replaced? You can check for a clog in the exhaust system by removing the front O2 sensor. If it runs much better there is probably a clog in the exhaust system. Don't be quick to blame the Catalytic converter. It could be the resonator or muffler.
