That switch on my '97 will unlock the doors, but won't lock them while underway, which I think is what our EU friend is trying for.
I should try hitting the lock button on the remote with the engine running to see if that works, but it's cold and dark here now, a fox is barking under the kitchen window, and I ain't goin' out there tonight.

I would like to have a button that could allow me to close or open the door without pushing the door pin with the arm.
Sounds like you want a second button that will do the same thing that the driver's door pin does.

Easy enough, figure out which switch the driver's door pin is working then wire a second switch of the same type in parallel with the door pin switch. Locate it where you want it.

As a follow up to this thread, I hit the 'lock' part of the rocker switch while driving the car, and it did lock all the doors. I wonder if the switch on your car might simply be broken, or did the EU cars not have that feature for some reason ?
Curious.

I hope you're all fine. I have a question.
I wold like to install a switch on the central locking wiring that could allow me to shut down all door, after starting to drive. I would like to install it on the right side of the steering wheel as shown on the board below.

Did get your PM, working on an answer, but we're being buried in snow today.

And Happy New Year, hope all is well over on your side of the Atlantic.

Hy Guys,

I have sold out the question. I will get the switch next month.

Thanks.
