Is it "brick" cem before 2004? If yes, thoose cem have pin at 2 different addresses- just before 0x6000 or before 0x4000, so look for another location

does it make sense to try teensy on this CEM?
I know it still doesn't work on this variant of CEM, but I want to participate in the development, does it make sense for me if the PIN is all 0?

PIN for cem-b is located at 0x5ff0 or 0x3ff0.

Tired applying 30+ to the Ignition switch pins B:1 ( S ), B:2 ( X ) & B:3 ( 15 ) and still no current draw.

Tried this again and it came to life when I connected B:3 ( 15 ). Drawing ~100 mA and I can hear a internal relay power up when I connect B:3 ( 15 ) Key on. Looks like the CEM-B needs the key on unlike the L & H which is always alive to some extent.

The CEM-B has been in storage ... perhaps it was comatose.

I can email you my dump (flash chip was blown off and read in a programmer), it has the pin at ~0x6000.

Strange... To be honest, I never checked what pin is in cem. And I have tons of read cems, so if you need some, I can manage to share it with you. Also - cem-l, cem-h and p3 cems...

i picked up a couple .bin's from the internet, they all have a pin at 0x6000.

i wanted to test tensy on this CEM but i don't know if it makes sense when pin 0, and old CEM-B is a hard nut to crack anyway?

on point:
What do we need to have, what do we need to know, to change the configuration block via OBD?
1. PIN
2. R/W flash (Dice?)
3. Config parameter
4. ...
check list?

To answer to your question before and now, whether is cem-b worth wasting the time trying to crack it.. My opinion is - not worth. Because of very simple reason - every day it is less and less thoose volvo before 2005...
