Yes it can look up the Bluedriver unit by Lemuir see Here for more details, engine codes only but the unit works well with the Crapple products, when it came out it cost $29:99 which was a real bargain, these days it will set you back around $99:95 - Mike

I might look into doing that IF I cannot find a more interchangeable option. Would like to purchase a Diag Tool that can communicate with a vast selection of vehicles. Kind of like a Tech 2, but more flexible to be used with at least Ford, Jag, BMW, Mopar, and VW and to cover upto but not limited 2013 for those brands.

I wouldnt be opposed to spend a few hefty bucks as long as I know it will do the job.

Take a look at the Autel MaxiDas DS708 garage scanner. VERY versatile and robust and if you shop around on AliExpress it can be had for around $1,000.

Otherwise for far less Autel's MD 801 scanner has enough memory size to store most brands of vehicle files without having to re-flash its memory.

I would give that a try, but me being in the US, I read a lot of reviews about registering & updating problems.

Which one is better, the full size ELM327 or the mini one? the full size one is more expensive. does that imply that its better or?

1. Provide us with a link to the full size and mini ELM327 devices you're referring to. That'll help us give some meaningful feedback.

2. Will you be using the ELM327 with your 2000 V70? What are you hoping/expecting that the ELM327 can do on the 2000 V70? Will you be using the ELM327 for other vehicles?

I would use it on my 2000 v70 along with other vehicles. but i know you can set up different profiles on it too. I was searching more and I guess the more expensive ones i saw were just ios compatible as well.
