UPDATE on my 2005 XC90 2.5T HVAC Thermistor.
The Radio and HVAC panel on the XC90 is slightly different from S60, V70 but very very similar...

- Bought the Thermistor on ebay, works great:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2014-VOLV ... 4266146616

- D/C battery ground cable beforehand, otherwise you will end up with "SRS Airbag message", which can only be reset using dealer tool or VIDA laptop!

- Watch this video, best is to remove the entire Radio/HVAC unit as shown, then remove the HVAC panel as in the video:

- IIRC: there are eight (8) Phillips #1 screws in the back.

- Definitely get a second person as helper to help you remove old pins (TIP: use a safety pin end to push the old wire pin/solder out while heating with a solder gun).

- Install the new Thermistor with some extra room on both legs as shown, so the wires can go into the slots of the black holder.

- Take this time to clean the small "sampling fan" too...

- Some photos...

So far so good, my repair above using new thermistor works great.
"Auto" functions works as designed.

All you need is some basic soldering skills.

Can anyone link to somewhere I can purchase this online? I’d have a hard time finding this locally.

Thanks.

Has anyone explore this^; where to look?

Meanwhile, I've ordered 2 thermistors from the eBay Seller https://www.ebay.com/itm/274568108232.

I think he was referring to the AC evaporator temperature sensor and it's located as shown in the picture here...
