Re: Infotainment System Blank screen
AC status n buttons still works but the dial pad and other buttons up there do not work at all.

Is this not a TPS protection ? Worth trying to remove using vdash 20e or something.
I did endup replacing my radio as it was impossible to reload it. Still 300 ish for replacing and the old unit was needed to trick the computer in the car /hot swap or something and software reload from usb.
The original radio software wasn't able to discover usb software.
Still done by savyy guy instead of bloody Volvo dealer :>

Theft Protection system. It switches off audio system if any component is not original. Serial number does not match then one coded in CEM
You can remove it using this https://d5t5.com/article/vdash-volvo-diagnostic and vida clone or dealer might be able to do it but they don't like to do it

I see, then i will have to order the items, or find a workshop that does it( which i highly doubt we have it in our country
) . Also, do you think theres a possibility i have a defective item?
SOrry i dont know so much, so if i were to get the vdash/vida clone, is there a step by step process on how to remove the TPS protection?
So basically this is what happens after i start the car:

yeah exactly that . after the whole day at the workshop with the technician yesterday, we found out that it might be the MOST lock ( due to the screen i bought second hand unit from ebay) or faulty amplifier.
My question now is, if i were to use the vDash to unlock it , is there a step by step guide?
Is it called cracking the CEM?

I did CEM cracking using Vdash in my car. Nothing fancy really
. You plug it in it's for free and you wait. In my case it took 8h to complete but can take up to 24h. The car need to be put on charger.
Not sure about ICM but amplifier should be fine. You use fiber loop to bypass any equipment to see if its faulty.

i see! thats my other option to solve whatever is going on right now. hahah
Do you think its worth it to try as well to use the fiber loop bypass perhaps on the ICM? perhaps maybe it will "trick" it . We did a OBD scan as well yesterday, it says something ICM MOST Lock. I looked it up on Youtube and found this
