My Transmission Has Died - 2000 5-speed Topic is solved

Finally getting around to writing an update, I got the new part from the junkyard on Wednesday the 29th and it looks perfect. I got it installed and the shifter now feels much tighter and quieter since the old bushing was ruined. The car is up and running again, fixed!

Looking at the old part closer, I've realized something startling; the old one appears to have been dissolved most likely by battery acid. Most of the surface looks like rough pot metal rather than shiny black plastic and there are many portions that looks to have completely eroded away. No wonder this thing broke so incredibly easily. I'm guessing a battery had broken and leaked onto it sometime in this cars past. The surrounding area of the transmission right below this bushing also looks more corroded than the rest of the transmission. Just comparing the new one to the old one, the difference is pretty big.
