I have been looking at your bend and pull project and was wondering if a replacement piece is possible. I am not sure how straight you can get that in order to attach the fender and have everything line up. A clip could be cut from another car and welded without much of a problem. That area looks pretty mangled.

Lakeview Auto Parts in Charlotte was where I sourced a 1998 Volvo V70 sunroof assembly back in 2012. Might be worth a look to see if they are still around and still deal in Volvo parts.

That's what I've been concerned about. I think I'm going to see how everything lines up, and if it's still a problem, I'll look into getting a new piece welded in.

I was looking at that area on mine last night, as the fender in no longer on it. If you can give me an idea of what you might need I can cut larger and I will have it on hand, even if I get rid of the rest soon.

So I chipped some of this crap off my passenger side mud guard today. Don't know if it was wet tar that splashed up (there's some on the wheel wells too) or some kind of adhesive. Really nasty.
Even though the bottom is a little hacked up, it's still in good shape, I think I'm going to sand it down and repaint it. Pretty sure those two slots/holes are supposed to be there. You guys think I should I match it to the car or just do flat black?

I am bringing you the one from my right side. May be in a little better shape. Not by much. Two hole are for draining, I think.

OK,

I just got back from the Post Office, for the following items, it will cost me about $30 to ship to Charlotte NC. As mentioned previously, the L turn signal assembly is brand-new (aftermarket but excellent quality).

Anyway, all I ask is $50, FREE shipping for all the parts below:
- Air bag in pristine condition.
- L turn signal (you may or may not need this): brand new
- Left Front door actuator
- L headlight assembly OEM Volvo.

If you want these, PM me...

Probably be easier for me to repaint yours, then. At least it shouldn't be coated in that tar stuff.

I should be getting most of the parts I need from obayha, but I'll let you know if I end up needing that turn signal and door actuator. The left turn signal seems to be alright, but there's a clip or something damaged.

Saw the project car today after work. It very much looks do able. Clean, tinted windows and looks to be maintained. Owner said it had some recent work done on top end and turbo. That's a plus for an engine with 160,000 plus on the odometer. If they get past that wrinkle with the fender, I think he will have a good ride at a reasonable price.
Good luck with it and I will see what else I may have for the remodel. :D
