I was able to lower my catch slightly, just by loosening the bolts, pressing down, and tightening them again. It did the job - my hood has reliably popped with just one tug at the lever for the last two years or so.

I will give it a go! I didn't think there was much space for it to move, but a mm here and there might make all the difference. Fingers crossed!!

Hi,

Oh yeah, they do go DOWN, and i think there are two sides, so if you only push one side down that will slightly skew the top of the latch and so it will align much better.

Please let us know how it works out.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.
