Unfortunately it's not that pin. I'm not sure how the pins came out of their housing but I can't get them back in. There is no obvious way they lock. Anybody else have this issue? Or does anybody have an extra top switch section hanging around. The switches work perfect otherwise

This worked for me!! Definitely recommend you try this before trying to remove the whole motor assembly from the door.

I had this issue just today, where I repaired the passengers switch which wouldn't lift the window up anymore.
The little spring which popped out was essentially the reason for the malfunction.
I managed to fix it by bending one end of the spring, inserting that end into the switch and then bending the end again such that it wouldn't pop out anymore.

After reassembling the window switch worked again.
Anyway, the door lock switch was kind of blocked now, which also blocks trunk/fuel switch at the drivers side.
Another 15 minutes playing around with the switch and more carefully reassembling it, everything works fine now.
If it fails again, I will replace it.

Sorry to dig this thread up but I'm having the same problem and wanted to as a question. Of the three wiring bundles underneath, the two next to each other look similar. Are they as simple as 1 for front and and 1 for rear windows? Ideally I'd like to switch them so I can put my drivers side window up using the rear switches!

Thanks for any help!

Just now the rear passenger window is stuck on the down position. Can't get out to go up at the drivers or passenger door. Where should I start?

Realize my 2001 V70 is one year newer than this forum, but I have a similar problem and couldn't find any help in the 2001+ forum: driver's window doesn't operate when engine is running; operates with engine is off.
The 2001 controller has circuit board and rubber touch pad instead of the brass fingers and I cleaned all the surfaces, e.g., orange circles, on both but window still doesn't operate when engine is running.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Also, no obvious bad solder points on the board.

Looks like yours likely drives relays, our -~2000 years actually engage the motors directly through our switch. Sometimes the types of contacts like the ones you have will end up with crap on them and no amount of alcohol, etc seems to get them clean. The other possibility is the relays that actually drive your door motors could be at fault or the wiring to/fro.

answering, adding to ozark lee 14 years later in corona virus world. he's right on that you should use a 'battery or a battery charger' to jump window motor directly. while most obvious, i'll add that a pair of jumper cables and a cut off power chord from any trashed appliance like a hairdryer or lamp, [or just two odd wires], will get you from your own installed car battery to your window motor. a little longer ones for rite side.
thanks so much for this post! my old 2000 s70 is turning into a window nightmare!

You can use a 1998-2000 switch in your car , the earlier P80 and P2 2001- switches won’t work

I might have a spare one an hour west of you in ALB
