I have the majority of the hoses replaced now with silicon. The only ones I haven't done are the bigger ones up under the intake tube by the radiator. Getting the little hose replaced was fun, it's a tad short but it reaches the intake tube just fine.

Question: when my PNP went bad and the car went bazerk with all the flashing lights and limp mode, it threw a CEL. I've had the battery out when I repaired the switch and tried pulling codes but yet the CEL remains and is showing no codes on the typical scanner, so that leads to a trans code correct? Should I do a hard reset (touch cables together)?

Is that the "original" green one, from TCV to right by the intake on the turbo? If so, that one wasn't a hassle for me, at least. Take out the air box, remove the intake tube, and with a good work light, you'll see it. Cut the old clamp with a dremel if you can't pull it off, and replace with new hose and screw clamp. The hose is probably fused to the nipple there, so slice it and peel off.

Ok, after I invest in some degreaser I'll do that one, it's a bit greasy back there.

Do you have any input about the trans related CEL?

Your transmission calls up the ECU and asks it nicely to set the CEL, and it calls back until everything's fixed. So you have to clear the DTC from the TCU, which isn't always a walk in the park. It doesn't necessarily go away with a touching battery cables, either.

Someone nearby with either VIDA or a good AUTEL scanner (500 series on up) can clear that TCM code

They are rare though, Ive never had one on mine.

So I was able to get someone who could scan it, came back with a P0705. Cleared it 3 times and it came back. Looks like my cleaning of the PNP was unsuccessful, I followed the how to on here.
