Misha I think you may have put me on the trail. I found a broken wire, just like you said, green white in a connector and its in front where I looked because that area took the hit. It feeds the transmission control module. I may have to splice all 8 wires in order to use the intact same plug from the parts car. Bingo Misha, you are the best.

Yes I just shoved that wire into the connector it had been yanked out of. Bingo, the trans now operated normally like before, the 1631 code disappeared, check engine lite disappeared, the vertical arrow on the dash is back and acting like it did before.

Studying the schematics following Mishas directions to find a wire, I even had the connecter figued out from checking the schematics.
