V70 xc 2.4 turbo wont go over 3000rmp.....gets up to speed just slowly
Ok.....My 1999 Volvo v70 xc 2.4 turbo will not accelerate over 2500 3000 rpm!?!?!? It will get up to speed..(65+have not tryed much higher scence rpm wont got over 3000 and it feels like its maxed out almost)just very slowly with no umpf. It like bottoms out at 2500 3000rpm...it didnt have check engine light on for a cpl week prier to this and still very poor performance. Now has o2 code p0030..but I dont think that is the reson for such poor performance! MAF live data is around 3.25- 4.5 g/s at idle and raises when acellerating.....my contactless tps is reading around 3.75% to 5% at idle...realy ruff idle at all stops....Any ideals PLEASE

Check the hoses to and from the intercooler. If one of those pops off the car acts pretty dead. Even if it didn't pop off they can get a hole in them.

Probably what you suspect, the TPS. But lots of things could cause this. fuel pressure, cat converter clogged. and every other thing possible which is lot. including burnt valve and timing belt jump, bad spark plug, head gasket. There are 100 scenarios to track down
by trial and error. either start with a hunch, or do the cheapest physical ones first. By physical I mean not ECU based. like turbo hose condition, visual on timing belt marks(one bolt on top cover), compression test and observation of plug color, fuel pressure, and if your car has a joint before the catalytic converter, open it up and drive it to see if there is more power, it will be loud. Then move to the sensors with realtime monitoring if possible like engine temp sensor. all the above will cause the ox code including the sensor being bad.
If you are feeling lucky replace that. Bosch only.

Timming is good (set with timming tool) there dose seam to be a air leak at my replacement fuel pump....almost like the gasket I got from metric auto isnt right!?! I can hear a small hissing(not umming...i hear that too but there is a air his comming from what seams like the fuel pump nut...would that couse the issue? I have a acces hole cut so I went and got a volvo one from volvo......but i didnt think it would make such a big diff. the replace ment pump is a sweden auto parts one....any feed back on them pumps????? THNK YOU GUYS ITS MY ONLY CAR!!!!! also new hoses from tcv...new tcv just a thought would a bad up stream o2 sensor couse such a lack in power....wont reach over 3000rpm and that is pushing it and realy ruff idle.....one more thing it has the spacer contactless installed in it....and how would one test the inter cooler for leaks without dimataling the radiator and fan to do so? i think I seen a video on it but cant remember exactly....something like take the intake hose and plug it the blow smoke in one of the lines and it will smoke test boot system? antone have a link or step by step how to

If you own a volvo you need a second car. You are losing evaporations system vacuum from the tank nut it sounds like. these are very hard to get on right and will shrink and need replacing if left off the car for a day. But use a piece of soft pine to tap with a hammer around the nuts fins on all sides to tighten more. stupid system I know. dont buy a tool it won't get in there. I think its probably easier to drop the tank next time than work through that small hole. also, (mounted on the radiator) check the one way vacuum valve for the EVAP system: that its not allowing turbo pressure into the tank. they dont make it anymore so you will have to put something different in if bad (they always are)

Any whistling sounds coming from under the car, when trying to accelerate or revving up the engine in park?

its not a big deal, dont worry about the one way valve now. Its only when pushing the turbo which you are not. Its not causing your problem. but major vac loss to the tank could set codes and restrict power by confusing the computer. tighten the pump nut.
