It will go to a local machine shop for cleaning amd inspection, and hopefully then rework

Decided to fix the passenger door check strap that started popping. Found that the problem was that the two spot welds that hold the mounting bracket to the pillar had failed. I pried the bracket back in place and re-welded the spot welds. Then I added an additional piece of steel between the pillar and the nut which is welded to the bracket, so nothing can pivot and put stress on those spot welds. Worked sweet !! Silent door ! Now I'm going to add that piece of steel to the other door check strap before I have problems with it. Removes any ability for the bracket to pivot over time and stress those spot welds.
