Oh that's interesting. I guess i would have to get one then because my car doesnt have that. The flash arrestor is there to help keep any oil/vapor from contaminating the inside of the dist cap. You have a cam seal sitting right behind there, and they do leak as they age.
Do you know what the black cap is for that covers the distributor cap, made of plastic, color black?
