Thanks for your reply. Yes I did priming for very long time. I left it for 2 mins and then I turned the key on and off cycle for 20 times. Only after this I could read 55 psi pressure.
I think I've found the problem....Did the injector check and as you could see No 5 injector is leaking. What causes injector to leak? Faulty wire connection or its mechanical?
This is the leaking injector 30750283 (same on all 5 of them), but the part number on VIDA is different. Local Volvo breaker has it but part number is different. Should it match exactly?

Are you thinking #5 is bleeding off the fuel pressure ... might be. If you think that is the case ... I would reconnect the return line then clamp off the fuel return line and see if it starts. A Surgical clamp should be the right tool for the job. They are designed to pinch off flow. without doing damage.
We don't have D5 experts over here because the D5 was not imported to AME. It looks like there are a bunch of places in Nottingham that can rebuild Injectors and Fuel injector pumps. You might try tapping their brains.
What does get me is it will run on Either but not on diesel. Clearly a fuel delivery problem.
1. Pinch off the fuel return line so that it does not leak fuel all over the engine.

3. The high return flow on #5 would be mechanical.

Good news Rick......I replaced an O ring in the injector by myself and tried cranking the engine. No leak from No 5 injector at all and engine is starting for a prolonged short period.
I think I'll have to keep cranking whole day and see what happens. It has started to snow at the moment. I'll keep you posted

It is hitting that means it is getting fuel.
Getting a engine to start the first time after repairs can be a challenge. One trick I have on the Petrol engines is to disconnect the camshaft sensors. Then do a long crank. This forces the ECM to use the lookup tables, rethink the start sequence. After I get it started I let it run and warm up. Reconnect the camshaft sensors and they start right up. I never done it on a D5 because there are no D5s here but it worth a try for you if it won't quite start and run.

Engine runs without stalling but acceleration would not work. I think the ECU needs long idling time to reset everything by itself? So I'm leaving it to idle for 20 mins or so and check it later. I'll keep you updated....
Someone suggested that sensor thing and I tired that. It didn't work last week. By the sound of it in America diesel cars are not their favourite?

Tradition. A Diesel car would not keep up with our 60s 70s era Muscle cars.
Taxes on diesel fuel are higher here. 24.4 cents per gallon of diesel but only 18.4 cents per gallon of Petrol. That eats up the consumer savings you guys enjoy. Our government reaps the savings not us. With our top earners not paying taxes they need every cents they can squeeze out of the ones that are paying taxes. Kind of ironic considering that the root cause of that is the same reason we rebelled against the crown ... taxation without representation.

Hi again Rick. Could I pick your brain again please....
After fixing the starting issue car starts and runs fine. But when accelerating to around 2k rpm I could hear engine growling with heavy vibration. There is no warning or any messages but scanner picked up misfiring cylinder 5 with DTC 3553 - Misfire Cylinder 5, emission influence.
I had to use injector extractor tool to remove this 5th injector off the head. For that I had to remove the top connected and insert an adapter like shown in this video:
Do you think dismantling might have messed up injector timing? I'd highly appreciate if you could advise me on this.
