Is that a Cricket? Who made a Cricket? (besides Plymouth) Any relation to the Cortina? Looks like it has Lotus Cortina wheels.

OH, it IS a Plymouth, but a British Chrysler of Europe Plymouth. I had to hunt around.

“The Plymouth Cricket was a Hillman Avenger (made by Chrysler Europe) adapted to the United States.“

British iron 4 cylinder.

Wasn’t this related to Dodge Colt Plymouth Scamp of late 1970s 1980s?

I remember having one with a transfer case and thus 8 forward gears. Totally useless

I disagree! The Dodge Colt with 4 speed and High/Low box was fun and gave great (40+ MPG) mileage at 55 MPH. I really like mine. Then I totaled it in a ditch.

Interesting details - Air intake through the windshield cowl vent for cool pressurized air, then filter housing, MAF, and a big turbo. Intercooler in front of the radiator.

Look at how the brake booster / MC is located. I think the intake manifold would be in the way.

Could almost pass for a stock installation. Anyone know what block this is? 16V straight 4?

That is a very well planned engine replacement. I do not recognize the engine as any 4 cylinder red block.
