Perhaps by trying to clean the PCV you actually blocked it. The 130 psi is not healthy and should be between 200 and 210 for a healthy non turbo engine. That factor alone can cause excess blow-by into the crankcase however if it wasn't there to begin with.......

The best service of a PCV is a replacement.


Thanks Mike. If the 130 is not good perhaps I should be looking for a used engine. I don't have the knowledge to do rings and pistons and the rest that goes along with that. Any suggestions on what to look for in a used engine? I don't want to retire this car but it is not worth paying any one else to do the heavy labor on it.

thanks Im doing it right now (tomorrow) did you replace the pcv valve (black Box) under the intake manifold or did you use the old one.
