Blue Steel ('98 V70 base AT) recently had its coolant light come on after a two-hour drive with two of my kids in the car, but I found a Napa and topped it off.

The right side of the radiator appears to have a leak about one-quarter of the way down. I see replacements with oil cooler ports, but is that only for turbo models? Mine does not seem to have these.

You can use the radiator and ignore the cooling ports, make sure you have the right transmission connections

Oil coolers were only installed on turbos, however the radiator is 100% compatible with the NA cars. Just leave them disconnected.
The -'98 and the '99+ radiators are different though, so keep that in mind.

Edit- what abscate said! The trans cooler ports also changes in '99.

Thanks guys for catching that last important piece. I had forgotten to add the 98-99 change on the trans cooler side. Were they all changed or was the change for the 00 year on the cars with the 5 speed auto trans, or did they all change in 99?

I think it was a -98, 99/00, and then P2 solution

Pretty sure the transmission hoses for the 99 and 00 are the same part so same fittings

The trans cooler lines were all changed for '99-'00. 4 speed and 5 speed use the same lines.

Would recommend anyone who has the old style spray nozzles (2 hoses) to pick up some washer nozzles from any of these cars. My 98 had the old style and the upgrade is amazing for vision. Much more efficient spray of water.

Changed the front wiper transmission with one from a 2000 V70. seems to be a lot faster on the downwipe. Did the passenger wiper arm upgrade for the drivers side and a good amount more is covered by the blade at the expense of a 1 inch arc at the bottom of the windscreen on the drivers side. Overall worth it.

Those fan-type nozzles are a must!

I swapped to the fan type nozzle, but the Pro Parts version..... I would not recommend. I seem to go though washer fluid very fast. The spray is not high enough on the windshield. One of these days, I'll try something else.... maybe get some from a salvage yard, if I ever go and find a suitable car to pull from.

You can save $18 with the PPS, or spend $24 for the ones that work.
