Hey all, have a quick question in regards to my Volvo. I have been experiencing rough idle at startup for the past few weeks, but once the car is warm it runs fine. The codes p0420 and p0134 show up. Bought a new car, will be installing this week. Yesterday I went to clean the MAF, it was fine, but I could use a new air filter. I went to start up the car after cleaning the MAF and it wouldn’t even stay idling, very rough then stalled out. Went back under the hood and finally noticed my turbo inlet pipe is completely sheared off at the clamp, on the turbo end. My guess is I finally broke it completely off when I was taking my MAF out. Am I correct in my assumption that replacing this pipe will solve my issues and return to normal drivability? I should also state that the downpipe/cat/sensor are all brand new.

Replacing the intake pipe may not fix all the problems you have but I can guarantee that the car won't run correctly if leaks between the mass airflow sensor and intake valves are not sealed.

The Volvo and aftermarket inlet pipes are extremely expensive. Try getting a part from a u-pick junkyard. I got one for $10 after I found a crack in the bellow section of the pipe on my Magic S60.
