bRAKE LIGHTS, 1999, XC70

I just discovered my brake lights (all of them) are not working. I checked the fuse, it was ok. I also have no warning light. My guess is that there is a problem with the brake pedal switch, but I cannot readily find it. Any ideas?

It is on a bracket above the brake pedal.

Thanks, Bill, I guess I am having trouble seeing it, due to some paneling that is blocking access to that area.

The panelling should be easy to remove, if it follows Volvo's usual fitting practice. Usually 3 screws (torx) at the top of the panel and the bottom slides into a plastic bracket, sometimes one on each side but not always.
