'03 v70 Base cranks, no start, no codes, pump's audible
Went out one morning last week, it cranked but didn't start. The pump ran for about a third of a second, like always when you start it. There's no gas in the fuel rail. 270K miles, pretty original, seems to be the PEM, which I'm not finding. And that removable lid behind the driver's seat, I removed it, and there's nothing else there to remove. Replaced the fuel pressure sensor. Anybody know where the PEM is in this car?

The fuel pump runs when you turn the key to position II--the one right before it cranks, anyway. I appreciate you responding, this is a problem for me. It appears the fuel pump relay is on a little board up under the dash near the driver's door. Judging by the length of the bundle of wires running to it, it can be removed for access, do you know how it gets released? Can't even get a phone up in there.

Cycle the key four times to position two, instead of just one time. Still no fuel pressure at the rail?

Checked the fuel pressure with a gauge, no pressure at the rail. Cycled the key 4X, no fuel, no pressure at the rail. I had replaced the fuel pressure sensor. I just removed the PEM & its components, no corrosion found, no evidence of moisture, ever. The sound of the fuel pump is odd, it revs up and then makes a winding-down sound, every time, rather than the normal holding-pressure type abrupt stop.

Did you open the PEM? The corrosion damage is on the inside
