Brake Fluid Leak

Post by MrScooty »

Hi guys,

I've got a major brake fluid leak on my 1995 Volvo 850 T-5 and I'm not sure where its coming from but i was under the car today and found that there is a lot of fluid leaking from the area shown in the photo circled in in blue. I'm assumsing this is the culprit but i have no idea what this part is or why there would be a leak here. How would i go about diagnosing and fixing this? Any help would be much appreciated.

If this is a right hand drive car, and the fluid level is low in your brake fluid tank, then the failure is likely the brake master cylinder. It is behind the large round brake booster on the firewall.
Not a huge repair, but you need to repair if you want brakes.
