Volvo 850 Engine noise

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help me out. There is a volvo 850 for sale in my area that is in near pristine shape except for one issue. The engine is making a rattling sound and shaking. The seller told me there is no milky looking substance on the dipstick but that he did see metal shavings. Timing belt was replaced at 106k and now has 113k. All service kept up appropriately. Seller thinks blown headgasket. Anybody with more experience than I have any ideas what might be causing this? To me it sounds like a rod or something internal is damaged (hoping this is not the case). Attached a video for reference.

Seriously bad sounding engine. Could be a bad valve or worse.
