Radio issues 2004 XC90 2.5T

Post by Sean87wk »

Hi everyone, recently the display on our radio went dead. The screen doesn't turn on, and we have no sound. The backup sensors do not beep anymore either. Some of the lights behind the buttons on the infotainment panels are still on but that seems to be it. The climate control stuff and the 12V socket is working fine. I've checked the fuses related to infotainment and the lights will turn off when I remove the fuse so I'm guessing the radio is receiving power. I also swapped around a few of the relays on the board underneath the steering wheel and nothing has made a difference so far. I'm leaning towards that it must be an issue on the ICM. I've seen a couple videos about replacing the capacitors on these boards and will most likely give it a shot. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions who has successfully done this in the past? I've included a photo of the ICM. On two of the four 16V 10mF capacitors on the left side I'm getting capacitance readings that are ridiculously higher than what is printed on them (if I'm reading it correctly haha). Seems strange but its reading 515mF.

Thanks for the help!!!
