2001 V40 - Seemingly Simple question (fuse box)

Hi Guys,

Basic Info: 2001 V40 with approximately 190 000 km on it, it is also a Turbo (1.8T)

This may sound silly, I really can't believe it myself but I can not for the life of me figure out how to get into the fuse panel (not the one under the hood). According to the manual, it is located just above the hood release handle, but I don't see it. I have also removed the screws holding that portion of the console, but somehow it is not coming off easily, and I'm affraid of breaking it. I'm just wondering if anyone out there can give me some advice.

Also, I've been searching for a service / repair manual for this car but havent had any luck. Anyone have an electronic copy ?

You're almost there....remove the:
cover
the four screws
the lower panel
the sound proofing
Disconnect the lighting switch and the fuse/relay box is accessed.

Sorry, but unless you buy a copy of VADIS which includes your year car with the activation code off of eBay, there really isn't a good service manual. Expect to pay $40 or so.
