Live Data from a '95 850, without OBDii?

Post by chrus »

Hi,

'95 850 GLT, has the OBD I thingimajig under the hood with the flashing lights. No OBDII port anywhere to be found.

Is it possible on these cars to monitor live sensor data? I'm trying to check some sensors to diagnose a rough idle.... But also just interested in collecting the data and exploring the car...

Surely a car with sensors on it should have a way to monitor them? Even before OBDII was standard..

I am debating buying the haynes manual to see if it has information on sensor resistance readings etc, if I need to go that route

Thanks

Live data is not possible with OBDI.

Oldschool way for o2 sensors reading is osciloscope.
Other than that...you can use multimeter.
