C30 Broken Heater Hose Topic is solved

2009 C30 T5 R, automatic. The heater outlet hose snapped. As far as I can tell, my options are;
1: Replace the 2 outlet hoses with aftermarket parts.
2: Get the Do88 Coolant Heater Hose kit and replace the inlet and outlet hoses and figure out what clamps to use.
3: Cut off the ends of the outlet hoses and connect them with a 1 inch brass coupler. This seems kind of janky but I've seen it done on YouTube.

If anyone has done this repair, please let me know what you did.
Also, how do I remove the gray plastic connector? Is it squeez and turn? I can't get it off the hose going to the engine. It seems like it would be a nightmare removing them from the firewall to replace those 2 hoses.

I ordered this tool. Hopefully it will allow me to remove the firewall end of the hose and remove the broken nipple from the hose going to the engine. Again, if anyone has any valuable tips they can share, please do so. Thanks

I have no help to give other than it looks like one hose only need to be replaced, but maybe worth replacing both as it looks like you may have to disconnect the upper hose to access removing the lower one at the bulkhead.

Thanks Neil. If I remove the lower hose, I'll have to remove the upper hose to get to it, so I might as well change all four hose.

I picked up a brass connector from Lowe's. I feel like the trouble and time spent on installing it could be better spent installing new parts, so I order all 4 heater hoses which should arrive tomorrow.
Pelican Parts says "Volvo specifies the use of a vacuum bleeder to remove air from the cooling system." I don't have access to compressed air for a vacuum bleeder. How can I bleed the system without it when I'm ready to refill the coolant?

Done. All 4 hoses have been replaced. Not a difficult job, but I did have a few challenges. Getting the lower hose off the heater core was brutal, even with the special tool. Removing the upper hose from the engine, and getting the new one on, was a nightmare.
