Possible blend door problem

Today while driving, a good sized piece ( apx 1" x 3" ) of plastic blew out of the passenger side foot-well vent. It obviously has to do with the vent system. At the same time, I noticed that the drivers side vents, both dash and foot-well, were now blowing warm air. Passenger side was cold.
So I'm thinking that maybe a blend door broke or ....?
How are they accessible ? Is this a dash out situation ?

If the dash is out, think about the evaporator. This is your time.

Kind of what I was thinking. Oh well. I did the dash r&r on the 850, and that was no problem. Hopefully the V70 isn't much different.
I'll see how long I can deal with it as it is. I just close the dash vents on the drivers side, and divert all of the AC to the passenger side ones.

The V70 is a lot easier. I don't like 850 dash removals, as the center console is such a pain to remove. Other than that they are very similar.
I think some of the flaps are still available new. What can happen is the rubber seals can get soft and stick to the casing. Then then break when they try to operate or they take out the servo motor.
