Our S60 has been an excellent car; it has about 135,000 miles. We were riding down the highway today with no problems. We stopped at a traffic light, and noticed a rough idle. There were no messages and no signs of a problem. As we pulled away from the light, the engine was sluggish, but smoothed quickly, around 20 mph. Next, the orange Check Engine light began to blink with the "Drive Slowly Urgent Service" message displayed, no other messages were displayed. I immediately came home and changed the spark plugs thinking that I fouled a plug. This did not help. I still get the message and now the "Emmissions Service Required" message is also being displayed.
Any ideas on the problem?

Codes need to be read and then reset. Unless it's one of the newest ('07 or '08), I believe a regular code reader will read the codes you need. Most auto parts places will lend them to you.
