I have a 2000 volvo s80 2.9L their is a problem with the driver side speaker on the door panel, their is no sound coming out of the speaker any advice on how to fix the problem.

Check the balance and fader settings on the radio first, if that's ok, you'll need to remove the door panel and check the wiring to the speaker.

Now you need to test the speaker and/or signal to the speaker. You can test the signal to the speaker if you have a known good speaker, or possibly with a voltmeter, but I'm unsure as to how to measure that signal. You can swap the front door speakers to test, it's twice as much work, but it is a good way to diagnose the problem. If the bad speaker works in the other door, then it's ok!

Wow, that's funny I've got a 2000 s80 same thing, Maybe Sven, in charge of drivers side speakers, had a rough night out. Mine was probably next in line. Seriously mine used to work intermittently and woud play if I banged on the door panel, Hopefuly a loose wire but I've got bigger issues right now. Let us know how you make out
