Module Box access?

Hi, I posted this question on Meteg's post of Dec 4. Anyway, I've been trying to open my "module box" on my 1998 V70GLT to check my ECU connections. My module box has a 1 inch metal strap, sort of diagonally accross the top. I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the strap for box access. With all those views(251) on "meteg"s Dec 4 post , I'm hoping there is knowledge out there to be passed on to me. Thanks. Somebody.
