Another Free iPod setup
I hate the wire that hangs out of my factory stereo from my cassette adapter to connect my iPod. So I turned the cassette adapter upside down (side B), feed the wire through the cassette slot, out the back of the stereo and down the center console. No more wire hanging out!

Awesome. I was thinking about doing this with my S60 but just never got around to it. I really do hate having that wire hang out all over the place...

Oh, what a great idea. I'll do mine tomorrow. I have XM radio and an iPod, so this will be great.

I have a 95 859 glt with factory trunk mount mutli cd player. Do they make a cable that would connect the 5 pin connector from the CD player to an Ipod? The CD changer skips all the time. If I could connect the MP3 at that point...nice smoot installation.

Craig- you can't run your CD changer and the Blitzsafe module nor the USA-Spec module (which also converts the CD input to iPod adapter) together. If you want to use an iPod, you'll lose the CD changer's functionality. There is however a module that will allow both. It is calle iMIV: http://www.imiv.ca/cms/

Oh I am ready to ditch the CD changer permanently. It skips so much it makes everything I play sound like Johnny Mathis. If I could keep Am/FM and add MPS to it..I'm all over it. Plus if I sell I can always have the changer there if they want to reconnect. It is a 6 disc trunk mount which means stop and get out to reload. holding 1000 songs on the iPod is a much better solution

Heck yeah! I agree totally- I personally am using the USA-Spec unit (you can find them on Crutchfield's site) but the Blitzsafe is cheaper...just do a google search- not necessarily cheaper on eBay. Good luck! They are easy to install.
