axle stand placement for 98 xc

Post by jamesconnelly1 »

I have searched and cannot find the specific answer. I have a two axle stands, and a 3 1/2 ton floor jack. I may need to use them to remove my oil sump (passenger wheel may need to come off). Where are they best used to lift the front end.

thanks for any help

James

Under the subframe, or you can jack up each side of the car and place your jack stands under the ball joints. Here are where is the recommended jacking points are: http://volvospeed.com/Repair/jackingpoints.php
