My son's 850 with 220K miles runs great except that it has started to occasionally not start.
Symptons: Turns over strong but will not fire. The other day, it happened and he went inside to cool off his frustration. He went back out and popped the hood and then cranked and held down gas. It eventually caught.
Anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?
Thanks
John

I'd do the obvious tuneup checklist first, then move to deeper solutions second.
Tuneup:
STP or similar injector cleaner
Air filter - new
Spark plugs - new
Check spark plug wires
Check vacuum lines for integrity
Check fuel rail schraeder valve for fuel pressure (engine off)
Check for codes
