2001 xc70 Air Conditioning Problems

Post by userjg »

Having two problems with the A/C. First the A/C air temperature does not cool off. Just had the A/C serviced. The low side fill valve was replaced, the valve core serviced, and R134 refrigerant added. Still blows barely cool air. Second, the passenger side air comes out warmer than the drivers side.

Also of note, when the recirculate is engaged it does not get incrementally cooler as would be expected, it seems to make no difference.

Any ideas of where to start in diagnosing would be appreciated.

I would guess that you either have a bad Climate Control Module or you have a couple damper motors out.

Thanks!

Do you know if the CCM or damper motor failures are registered in the fault codes? I understand you can have these read at an autoparts store or dealer.
