242 R sport Dash connection

I've had the above dash since Dec last year and have finally gotten around to putting it in. I thought it was a simple change over but all that's happened is it blows the power fuse when the ignition is turned on.

The Volt and Oil gauges run ok by themselves with their own wiring but I cannot guess what the cause of the problem is. Is there extra wiring needed as there are 4 pins (2 above and 2 below) near the half moon plug that are not connected with any original 242 wiring. I've put in another power regulator thingy but no change, just another blown fuse, and if I put the original dash back in everything works fine.

Anyone got one of these dash's and had similar problems, or know of a fix? This is very frustrating.
