Rear Rotors 2007 S40

Post by md72582 »

I changed the pads on my rear brakes and now it's making a noise. I checked the thickness of the rotors and they are still good so I did not replace them and just slapped on the pads. Am I supposed to replace it with new rotors or can I have them cut since the thickness is still good. Can we cut rotors on volvo? The noise is irritating please help

Thank you

You cannot "turn" Volvo rotors. If the thickness is below minimum you must replace the rotors with new ones. Did you use factory pads? What type of noise is it making? The rear pads on these cars seem to wear out much faster than the front for some reason.
