C70 Conv 1999 ABS computer

Post by dkilborn »

Had shocks and struts replaced. Three days later, ABS unit/computer is failing and ABS, Check Engine, Brake lights come on and speedometer and odometer stop/restart intermittantly. Could there be a correlation between the two issues or is it pure coincendence?

I just removed my ABS module, so I could replace it with what "I THOUGHT" was a good unit.

After reinstalling it...Not only do I have the ABS/Traction control light on, the BRAKE light is also illuminated.

As a nifty side effect the odometer, and speedo are now intermittent. (Sometimes they work, some times they don't)

What I do know is that when I push on the plug to the ABS module the speedo and Odometer start functioning again, and the BRAKE light vanishes.

I would push on the plug and see if that helps your problem.
