New Owner-Simple Noob Question

Post by TTK »

Great forum. Just bought a new 2010 V70 - ordered in November, built January 12th, and picked it up Feb 17th. Love the vehicle, and I am getting familiar with it. I was looking over the engine compartment and did not see any bolts holding the top plastic engine cover on. How do you remove it? Is it just a snap fit? Also, on page 200 of the owner's manual, there is a picture of a manual wire release for the fuel door (in case the electrical solenoid fails, I suppose), but after opening the small panel from the trunk, I just don't see it. It may be behind some insulation, but it seems you would have to destroy it to remove it. Anyone with a similar model seen this release? Thanks in advance for any insight.

I don't think anyone here has one.
