s70 or s80 Topic is solved

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

If you buy a 2001+ V70 you're buying a S80 in wagon form, but without the 6-cyl engine. The 2001+ V70 and any year S80 share the same platform, although I think the V70 is a slightly shorter wheelbase.

I'd get the V70, for the utility if not the feeling I get that S80 dependibilty isn't its strong suit, especially the '99-00.
