So....Ive replaced the rear rotors on my 1999 v70 as well as the pads. Well enough. I notice I still have a banging noise when i go over bumps on the rear right side....hmmm.
I crawl under the car and notice what looks like a ball joint forward of the rear right wheel - same thing is on the other side. Now, please be kind, I have no idea what this is except that when the car is on a jack and I push the wheel forward I can see bare worn ball and hear the banging sound that has been driving me nuts for two weeks now.
It looks as though it can be replaced but to blunt, I have no idea what its called so if I go to my local parts store I dont really know what to ask for?
yep I'm a newbie.
any clue?
Bang from rear of car.

I believe your problem is in the trailing arm bushings on your delta links at the back of the car.

I can't be a terrible help to you, sorry, but hopefully someone else will chime in!
