2005 S40 Not Starting

I recently purchased a 2005 S40 with 28000 miles. Last year the car had intermittant starting problems and the previous owner took it back to the dealer (under warantee) and had the battery, the ignition switch and finally the starter replaced. Car worked fine for 8 months until I purchased it. When I try to start the car, the doors open, lights come on, and when I turn the key I hear a click and nothing else. One thing I noticed is that the radio display goes off when I turn the key.... and yes I did try to jump the car with my 1996 850 turbo... thank God for old reliable.
