hi . i'm having a strange problem with my 2002 xc70. i am getting an intermittent buzzing sound from my rear driver side speaker by the tailgate. the buzzing happens with the stereo on or off. sometimes turning off the car and restarting it makes it go away. i've removed the speaker grill and wiggled the speaker wires and looked for shorts. no luck. is this a grounding issue? is it dangerous? any ideas? thanks.

It is either a bad ground in the speaker or wiring or it could be getting interference from other wires around the tailgate. I would try replacing the speaker with a cheap on from walmart. If it fixes the issue, then go and get a better speaker but if it doesn't, at least you did not spend more then 10 bucks on the speaker and you know you need to trace the wire back to check the ground and/or for interference.
